Gandhi on British Currency Coin
The Royal Mint of the UK is considering issuance of a special edition currency coin series with the face of Mahatma Gandhi engraved on them. This move is being backed by the chancellor Rishi Sunak. Rishi is a person of Indian origin & has been married to the daughter of Mr Narayana Murthy of Infosys. The move is being taken to acknowledge the achievements of BMAE ( Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic ) community.
