Sudan: 2000 Years Old Heritage Site Destroyed
Once
again the never-ending greed of mankind has hampered our heritage &
history. In a recent event in Sudan, illegal miners of gold destroyed a 2000
years old heritage site. Archaeologists have an opinion that the metal
detectors must have reacted to pyrite which is also known as fool's gold. The
setup chich hs been damaged belongs to the ancient Nubian kingdom of Kush known
as Jabal Maragha. These illegal treasure hunters have dug a massive trench in the
search of gold on this site which has destroyed the remains of the historical
place.
