UK De Listed Sri Lanka Based LTTE as Terrorist Gro
In a recent event, the UK based
Organisation Appeal Commission gave a remarkable verdict. This commission
delisted Sri Lanka Based terrorist group LTTE ( Liberation Tigers of Tamil
Eelam) in UK province as a prescribed terrorist organisation. The country made
a statement & informed the public that this verdict has been made aware of
the Sri Lankan government via formal communication. An appeal was filed with
the commission in May 2019 for the delisting. Though Sri Lanka was not a direct
party to the proceedings, the commission did take help from the government to
fill in the necessary information. However, the Srilankan government has made
an appeal to the commission against the judgement & is closely monitoring
the proceedings.
